WorkSafeBC (WCB) Acupuncture Direct Billing
If you’ve sustained a workplace injury, WorkSafeBC (WCB) may cover your acupuncture treatments to support your functional recovery.
At Harmony Hill Wellness, we provide acupuncture care for common occupational injuries such as repetitive strain, back tension, joint stiffness, and muscle discomfort. Treatments are tailored to your accepted area of injury and return-to-work goals.
We offer direct billing to WorkSafeBC for approved claims, meaning no upfront clinic fees for you. Simply provide your claim number and date of injury when booking.
Our clinic serves Burnaby and nearby communities with a calm, professional approach focused on pain management and restoring daily function.
How WorkSafeBC / WCB Treatment Works?
Step 1 — Report Your WorkSafeBC Claim
After a workplace injury, report the incident to your employer and WorkSafeBC immediately to open a claim. You will receive a WCB claim number once reported. Note that acupuncture coverage requires an accepted claim.
Step 2 — Book Your Appointment
You can begin treatment without a doctor’s referral if you book your initial visit within the first 8 weeks of your date of injury.
Simply contact our clinic and provide:
- Your WorkSafeBC claim number
- Your Personal Health Number (PHN) or SIN number
- Date of injury
- Accepted area of injury
- Driver’s License / Gov. Issued ID
Step 3 — Start Your Recovery
For accepted claims, WorkSafeBC pre-approves an initial assessment and up to 7 subsequent acupuncture treatments within the first 8 weeks. Our registered acupuncturists will guide your pain management plan based on your symptoms, mobility, and functional requirements
Step 4 — Direct Billing to ICBC
We directly bill WorkSafeBC for your eligible treatments. Because we handle the billing directly on accepted claims, there are no upfront clinic fees for approved sessions—keeping the process simple so you can focus on rehabilitation.
Step 5 — If You Need Ongoing Care
If your date of injury is beyond 8 weeks, or if you require treatments beyond the initial pre-approved block, additional sessions can be requested. We will coordinate with your WorkSafeBC Board Officer or Case Manager to seek approval for an extension based on clinical evidence and recovery progress.
